70 Unit Co-Housing Project

Project:

Development:

1. Energy savings.

As can be seen in the attached table of bioclimatic needs, the achievement of an nZEB building using bioclimatic strategies is not unaffordable. In winter we have Internal Gains plus the direct radiation produced by the sun. A Siber double flow recuperator – or similar – will be the tool that we will use to ventilate the home without losing that heat from direct radiation and internal loads, with the consequent improvement of the CAI of the homes.

The bioclimatic strategies that we will use in summer are thermal mass – provided by a 7 cm layer of anhydrite on the wooden floor – together with day and night ventilation supported by 2 passive, direct, descending PHDC evaporative cooling towers. The two towers – like Iranian chimneys – will be two enormous collectors of the west wind – which according to the attached Gandia Wind Rose – are clearly predominant. The network of micronizers located at the top of the towers will generate a fog in which each microdrop absorbs the heat of the air mass that surrounds it, causing a drop in temperature. The cold air mass falls due to density and is introduced into the yard.

2. Responsible use of water resources

Rainfall has decreased by 30% in the last two decades. In accordance with this SDG13, it is prudent to take measures now and not delay actions. Simultaneously, it had to respond – according to SDG6 to Guarantee the availability of water and its sustainable management and sanitation for all, in particular the problems of water scarcity.
