Development:
This Project refurbished one of the four buildings of the old Marketplace into an Auditorium, maintaining the old external walls as a container to shelter its new purpose. A glass façade wall was implemented to allow external garden views from the inside. The Authorities Box hovering with almost no contact with the perimetral walls, states the relationship established between the old structure and the new one inside. The wood cladding of the stage, lateral areas and service spaces contributes as well to the same effect.
The massive bare brick walls, the metal structure and the lamps, offer a glimps of its past industrial design and reinforce the sense of unity with the rest of the compound´s buildings.
