Project:

Developement:

The proposed church project seeks to strike a balance, on one hand, between three functional aspects. These constitute the three main sections of the required program: A) The requirements of liturgical and communal worship, as well as individual prayer and meditation; B) Christian education and community outreach activities; and C) Social and administrative assistance needs. Secondly, it also aims to reconcile the demands of the building itself with those arising from the city’s urban fabric. The proposal seeks to articulate these five areas through a single, unified building.

Following the building’s structure, we encounter the spectacle of a ‘fifth facade.’ This roof, shaped by tectonic volumes, is perforated in the rooftop area by transparencies inherent to the design. It is constructed from 100% recyclable copper sheeting with a lifespan of 100 years.
