Rehabilitation Of The Barri Del Pou. (Neighbourhood Of The Well)

Barri del Pou, which means Neighbourhood of the Well, along with all the other neighbourhoods of the Cullera mountain hillside, sporting their distinctive differences in height, magnificent views and overwhelming history embedded in the urban fossil of its streets, is meant to be rediscovered.  

This zone today is characterized by its tiered spaces, inaccessibility, some vacant lots, and misused open spaces.  

To bring back the Neighbourhood, it will be necessary to make it more accessible, more public, more open in order to blend its spaces into the future.

In order to create an area that can be perceived as an accessible entity, connected visually and thematically, we propose a global park structure for the whole historic neighbourhood, creating a string of enjoyable green spaces that at the moment exist but are not being used as such.

We are creating a Garden City or City Garden.  The road network will be painted in white, sporting black signs and letters painted on the floor directing people to difference points of interest located throughout the neighbourhood as if they were walking on a 1:1 scaled plan.
